The Witches Trial was commissioned in 2005. It tells the tail of the Prestonpans witches, who were accused of attempting to murder King James VI amongst other terrible deeds.

The King himself was present at the trial, held in Edinburgh. All were found guilty and sentenced to death. A total of 81 women and men were killed !
